Fitness Resistance Tubes Recalled By Dick's Sporting Goods

Resistance Tubes and Tube Kits have been voluntarily recalled by Dick’s Sporting Goods, because the plastic clip that attaches the tube to the handle can break during use, posing an injury hazard to the user.

To date this date, the company has received four reports of abrasions, contusions and lacerations.

The recall involves 229,000 Fitness Gear and Fitness After 40 branded resistance tubes and adjustable resistance tube kits. They products were sold in black, blue, gray, red, orange and yellow. View photos of the recalled items on the CPSC Web site.

Recalled model numbers include the following:

FAF00004, STA00017, STA00018, STA00019, STA00020, STA00021, STA00022, STA00023, STA00063, STA00064, STA00066.

Consumers are urged to stop using the recalled items and to return them to any Dick’s Sporting Goods Store for a store credit equal to the amount of the purchase price.
